Taeniasis

Taeniasis is a form of tapeworm infection which is caused by tapeworms of the genius Taenia.

It is caused by taenia solium which lives in the human intestine. It absorbs digested food of the host through its skin. It spreads through contaminated food, water and improperly cooked beef or pork.
