History

[1] Route 235 replaced the withdrawn section of route 237 between Sunbury Village and Hounslow Heath on 31 August 1996 using Metrobuses from London United's Hounslow Garage.

After just over a year's operation by London United, on 10 January 1998 the contract was reassigned to Tellings-Golden Miller, who operated it from their Byfleet Garage, using single deck Dennis Dart/Caetano Nimbus.

The school journeys were retained by London United with double decks, because Tellings-Golden Miller did not operate any double deckers buses. The allocation of the route was moved from Byfleet to Fulwell Garage in April 2000.

The school day journey was passed to Armchair (from Brentford Garage) on 13 January 2003, and renumbered 635 in April 2004.

Tellings-Golden Miller were bought by the National Express Group in 2005, and so the route is now run by Travel London.
