Commonwealth Development Corporation
The Commonwealth Development Corporation, now CDC Group, (formerly the Colonial Development Corporation) is a British development organisation.[1]
It was established by the post war Clement Attlee government.[2]
In July 2004, CDC spun out its emerging markets private equity investment platform, Actis Capital. CDC remains an active sponsor of Actis' investment activities, committing $650 million to the firm's third fund.[3]
